This website was designed with you in mind. Dr. Mark L. Venturi, M.D. and Dr. Alex N. Mesbahi, M.D. are both Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons with specialized fellowship training in cancer reconstruction at the country's premier cancer institutions: The MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, respectively. They have designed a website which reflects an important focus of their breast reconstruction practice: patient education and information. This site will allow you to learn more about ALL of your reconstructive options and how Washington Breast Reconstruction is making state of the art breast reconstruction available to women in our region. There are a startling number of breast cancer patients who are never fully informed of all the available reconstructive options in breast surgery. Our goal is for this website to be a valuable resource for not only our patients, but also for the many other unfortunate women struggling with a new breast cancer diagnosis to make more informed decisions.
